My little beans!

How cute are these two?
Zorro accepted our newer baby, Rocky, the 4 month old female boxer, into the pack the first day we got her just a month ago. They are inseparable, now!

I'm 31 weeks pregnant with twins so it was hard for me to do much for Halloween this year. But - I would be a bad momma if I didn't let Frankenstein shine on his most favorite holiday!!

It's not much, but it's darn cute...

Just realised that I joined here before I had my little Pom, just to check out other people's experiences and seek out some advice, and then never shared anything once I got him home! It's been a while now, as I brought him home in June, but this is my lil pom baby, Zombie, saying hello! He's a pretty tiny example of a Pom, and as you can see, Orange Sable [though the lighitng of some images changes that up a little]. Mind you, despite his size, the biggest dogs in the park are his favourite to befriend!

Giving me a huge grin, haha. He's always compared to a lion or baby fox.

He's a pretty well behaved puppy, really. He's my first dog so I guess we're learning together but since I've been asking for a pup since I was 2, and finally got one at 19, I can definitely say he was worth the forever wait! He's a lovely little split between lap dog and adventure pup! He is also pretty quiet- I heard Pom's were yappy but he's real quiet unless he's arguing with the hoover or a cat.

One thing is- he is convinced my cats want to play, and they're not sure, which has resulted in a few little scuffles [which he unfortunately, doesn't seem to learn from]. Anyone got any advice for that? He'll have a chilled ten minutes, just laying with them, and then out of nowhere he'll be bouncing and nipping at them and they don't appreciate it! He was a little mouthy, too, as much as we reprimanded him for that, but he seems to be mellowing as he gets a little order and being more content with licking than chewing.

Hello everyone! I hope you and your pommies have been well! I've been wanting to post with pictures of Steve at my wedding where he held the role of ring bearer (it worked out really well!) but I haven't gotten them back yet. However, today I got an e-mail from the Animal Planet website saying that Steve was selected to be in their Traveling Dogs, Battle of the Breeds contest! I don't think you win anything from the contest- just bragging rights- but I thought I'd post the link here in case anyone wanted to vote for him (if you don't mind, I don't mean to be annoying I'm just so excited, haha!) There's another adorable Pom in a different bracket that I made sure to vote for too. :D

Here's the link: http://animal.discovery.com/the-spot/battle-breeds/traveling-dogs/

And so this isn't text only!

Paw Woes

Hey fellow Pom Moms & Dads.

Little Bowser had a mishap, and was left with a broken metatarsal bone in his right front paw.

He got a splint instead of a cast, but the tech told me this is going to be a rough three months. If it gets wet he can get a skin infection underneath. I have to go back and have it changed if it moves, falls off, or gets wet. My first of many, many re-checks over the next few months is tomorrow already. Right now he's in a lot of pain, (and sedated because he didn't want his x-rays taken,) but in a week or two it's going to get really hard to keep him from moving around a lot.

Do any of you have experience with long term injuries and any advice on what I can do?
Right now he's just crashed out on the couch.

We have a 5 month old Mastiff puppy, too, so I'm just really worried about the puppy trying to roughhouse when my back is turned. Any advice on that would be grand as well.

I am very lucky that my vet allowed me to do a payment plan. This happened the day I got out of the hospital myself! It's just a miserable, horrible week for us. I don't know how I'm going to afford 3 months of re-checks, my first one is already scheduled for tomorrow! Another $35+ on top of the $500 total I rang up this morning.

Welcome to Stinky Lake!

The dogs smell so bad after swimming here, but I can't help but let them go anyway because it's somewhat nearby, the weather has been completely ridiculous lately and they always have a blast. How can you say no to a Pom face?
